Niles & Daphne
Frasier hires Daphne Moon to be Martin's home healthcare worker, to help him with his exercises. It's love at first sight when Niles is introduced to Daphne. However, he doesn't let on about his feelings, having an unhappy marriage with his wife, Maris. Daphne is the one reason that Niles comes over to Frasier's apartment. After a divorce from Maris, Niles is all prepared to tell Daphne how he feels about her, when she gets into a relationship with Joe, a construction worker. Joe eventually dumps Daphne, and Niles meets Mel Karnofsky, Maris' plastic surgeon. He ends up marrying Mel, when meanwhile Daphne is engaged to Donny Douglas, a lawyer. Niles has to watch Donny propose to Daphne in a heartbreaking scene. It all ends happily though, with Mel and Niles divorcing (not without Mel dragging it out as long as possible). And Niles tells Daphne how he's always felt about her. Daphne runs away from her wedding to Donny to run off with Niles in Martin's Winnebago, which calls off Daphne and Donny's wedding. Niles and Daphne are finally able to be together. They end up having a son, David, in the finale. I have loved their relationship for years! ♥
